Ayurveda ("the science of life") medicine is a 5000 year old practice of India. I was introduced to Ayurvedic medicine after struggling for years with chronic health conditions that were not getting better with just traditional western medicine. I was amazed at how much I could impact my healing through the teachings of Ayurveda. Through this learning process I was also introduced to Ayurvedic treatments - now which, I bring to you. I hope these treatments bring you tranquility, ease your senses and calm the nerves while energizing your spirit.
I believe in restoring balance by encouraging you to focus on health rather than “perfection.” I support you in bringing out the most beautiful features you see in yourself. I use Shankara products and application techniques that engage the subtle body systems and work to cultivate for you a deep level of blissful stillness while focusing on integrating the inner and outer world.
"We are not talking about market driven ideals of the moment. In Ayurveda, inner and outer beauty are intimately related. The more we nurture ourselves, the more radiant we become physically and expressively-regardless of our particular body shape or proportions"

Our our skin tells us a lot about our health and I do not promise miracles of youth and perfection! Nutrition, exercise and sleep are equally important to correcting skin inflammations. I would be happy to make a separate appointment with you to talk about nutrition and how this may impact your healing.
Please keep in mind that Ayurveda uses a lot of oils for healing! Do not be surprised by your new hairdo after having a treatment that includes a scalp massage. Consider wearing/bringing comfy, old clothes to change into after your treatment. If getting a shirodhara bring a towel, scarf or hat to cover your head as it will be fairly oily.
