Sadly, I am currently not offering this treatment as I'm only doing virtual sessions. Please keep in mind though, that I do bring to my work a holistic approach, and this does not limit me in talking about body and mind health from other platforms.
As a supplement to talk therapy, the international practice of auricular acupuncture for behavioral health, including addictions, mental health, and disaster & emotional trauma, has proven to be effective for people on various paths of recovery and wellness.
Acupuncture uses "meridians" to stimulate "Qi" or "natural energy" to promote healing. The ear contains meridians for organs in the body thus it becomes an effective way to treat the "whole" body.
How it works:
5 acupuncture needles are placed in specific points on the outside of the ear. The receiver then sits quietly, breathing and meditating for about 35-40 minutes.
The acupuncture points in this treatment include two for the sympathetic nervous system which promote relaxation (sympathetic and shen men points) and the other three are for detoxification of the body (kidney, liver and lung points). All these points also address emotional issues such as fear, grief, anger and lifting spirit.
Possible Immediate Benefits:
-Relieve stress and promote a general feeling of well being and relaxation
-Decrease cravings for people with addictions
- Relieves depression, anxiety, body aches, and headaches
